Problem solving is a part of everyday life. Sometimes it's easier to deal with, sometimes it's not. Usually, I would talk to a friend when I have a problem, but as life gets complicated, it's hard for someone else to help. I recently started working for Chase as a teller. Many people think that it's a relatively easy job, but it's stressfull on so many different level. For one, as a teller, I have to learn and understand the banking system. Second, I have to make sure that I provide the best customer service as well as accuracy in my transactions.
One of my biggest task as work is manage my cashbox. As many of you would know, tellers have a cashbox like regular registers to put money in when we receive it. At the end of the day, we have to balance our cashboxes to see the money we have match with what it says in the computer system. As the day begin, there will be a rush in the morning before people go to work, then there's lunch hour, and the rush will be evening time when people get off work. During these rush hours, things can get hectic, so the most important thing to do is not to stress, and handle every transaction with caution. Therefore, I can minimize error during balancing, otherwise I would be in big trouble if I always find a difference. By the way, I work at the branch at Port Authority location on 8th ave and 40th street, so you guys should come open accounts! xD
